semester relfection blog

Global Education is a different kind of class than anything I have ever taken before. In this class Mr. Fielder’s class he has taken a different approach to English than I am used to, a lot of writing (a lot of struggling), many rewrites and revises, and I have found out that you can never write a perfect piece. At the beginning of this class I didn’t even know what margin notes were, now I would like to think that I have improved very much. The part I like most about this class is we get to ponder and discuss some of the same questions that the president (Obama) deals with everyday.

The most difficult part of this class was the writing by far. From the first days writing assignment to the Paul R. letters, my writing techniques have improved dramatically; in the beginning I was using lower case (eye’s) and only writing one copy and turning it in, now I will always make sure to have someone read my final copy to look for any spelling, grammatical, or punctuation errors. One thing I have tried to work on especially hard on because I have had such a hard time with it is writing a clear thesis; it is the key to having a good pieces of writing, without it your lost and if you do it right everything else will just fall into place. i.e.” President Obama is the best president we have ever had because he is African American.” 2. “President Obama is a very good president because of his speaking skills and his efforts in the Middle East”. I have defiantly learned some key things about writing a thesis this semester.
If you wanted to know what ate up the most time this semester it would be reading. When you get to be in high school you can comprehend a good part of what you read. Pulling material out of a selection and deciding how to tell other people to understand it is difficult; hence Q.C.V.I.’s . The first and for most thing you had to learn was how to leave a question open ended, this made the question debatable and in conclusion a discussion question. “Who is narrating this story?” (a question that can be found in the book) “Why do you think the author chose Mike to narrate the story instead of his twin brother Sean)? This question can only be speculated at, never answered (making it the right choice).

south africa

if i had to choose between the five countries i would choose south africa to be a native in.

I choose south africa because they fought back sucessfully against the europeans more than the other 4 countries. when Shaka fought the europeans he killed more than 1500 of them in a full out upset in the battle of Isandlwana .
My second reason for wanting to be a south african native is even when aparteid started they were always in the talk, the europeans never completley took away their rights, for example the ANC the political party always had a say in what was happening in south africa, and now the ANC practically runs the country.

all in all things worked out best for the natives of south africa so i would choose to be them if i had the choice

To Much Homework

I wonder what was going through these teachers head on friday afternoon. yeah they got a cultural event, and they know darn well nobody had started. So they have a scret meeting in the teachers lounge and decide how they are going to punish us for that. They spend hours apon ours brainstorming, Mr. Fielders list consitied of water bording or assign extra homework for the weekend. He picked the worse of the 2. Mrs. B did the same thing. When they first assigned the homework i wasnt sure wether or not i was going to blow it off, be responsible and do it on saturday ( FAT CHANCE) or procrastinate until sunday night at 10:04. you can guess which one i did. currently my brain is fried from how much global ed homework i did this weekend. but get used to it if your in my class cause teachers have had it out for me since the first grade. In conclusion all teachers are evil ( exept the man grading this paper) every last one of them. When you dont get that one present for christmas you really wanted, it was teachers. when your mom sends you to bed at 8:30 instead of 8:45, it was the teachers idea, and when your alarm goes off in the middle of the night for no reason, it was the staff at livonia stevenson high school. last and certainly not least, who do you think the boogie man is? well ill tell you, teachers ( fielder!). so its saturday morning and i just woke up. The first thing on my mind was to do my blog for Mr. fielders 6th hour. I will not be B- blazer anymore.
